As the last session began, it was mid-morning on the 12th day of the 1st Trigon of Elok’s Influence. The party quietly gathered around the entrance to a small building. Inside, Zorkar, the guardian of the Timeless Temple, floated above the ground with a dark mist swirling around him.
After a few minutes of watching the scene inside, the decision was made to enter the building to see if Zorkar could be freed. Kogaan and Douglan took the lead, with the others following closely behind.
As the last party member entered the building, a wall of force blocked the entrance trapping everyone inside. Two Hell Hounds appeared between the party members and Zorkar. The party spread out around the room and began to attack the beasts as more began to appear randomly around the room.
Reaching the area where Zorkar was floating, the party discovered a strange iron flask on the floor. Nightingale grabbed the flask, and at once, understood to point it at the mist to capture it. As the mist disappeared into the flask, the remaining Hell Hounds vanished and Zorkar dropped to the floor.
As Zorkar recovered, they explained they had found an ornate bottle in the prayer room. As soon as they opened the bottle, they were possessed by a powerful demon. They were concerned that they had been unaware of the bottle and its placement there. They are normally aware of everything that occurs within the Timeless Temple. They explained that only someone or something of great power could have done this.
Knowing that the Githinthor were anxious to see their comrades, Zorkar escorted the party into The Between. Everyone was shocked to see so few Githinthor camped there. Captain Grelena explained that the Githyanki had been merciless in their pursuit as the Githinthor retreated to the Timeless Temple. There were only 93 Githinthor that had made it to the temple so far.
Captain Grelena was sure that there were many more Githinthor scattered around the area. General Varimoc decided that they would each take a bottle of Alim wine with them, and head out to collect those that they could find. Once he had collected his troops, they would make their way to the portal in Easterly to see what the Githyanki were up to there. General Varimoc promised to report back to the party as soon as he could.
Douglan and Maggie asked Zorkar about bringing back their family. Zorkar took them to a secluded area where Douglan fell into a dream like state. There Gath appeared to him. Gath told him that he would allow his family to return to life in exchange for Douglan’s life. Douglan agreed. Gath told Douglan that he and his family could return, but that one day Gath would have to ask Douglan to fulfil his sacrifice.
With their business at the Timeless Temple complete, the party returned to the Stargazer. The sky ship departed for Tionchar winery with a short stop in Whalespell to drop off Seer Yennall and Seer Ezra.
Arriving at the winery, the party was met with great excitement with the return of all of the family. As everyone settled in for the night, Wardell Evenbreeze approached Nightingale with a message asking him to visit with Starling and Wren at the Watchtower Theatre. Knowing that the party needed to speak with Commander Ranier of the Vanguard, the decision was made to head into the City of Evendor in the morning.
The next morning, the party traveled to the city. There, they met with Commander Ranier who told them he was still waiting on word from his agents about the spreading of rumors regarding Darvell Snowleaf. Next, the party visited the Watchtower Theatre. There, Nightingale met with Starling and Wren who told him that the Penumbra College wanted to see him regarding Whalespell Wren. The party ended the day by attending a performance at the theatre and then returning to Tionchar winery for the night.
