The Stargazer is a large skyship built by House Fizzlepocket of Gnome. It is constructed of the “Sky Cruiser” design, which is the most common design for Gnome skyships.
The Stargazer was originally constructed for self-sufficient exploration of other continents of Tooran, but the backers for the exploration fell through. The skyship has spent most of its life serving various Gnome houses by finding and acquiring rare materials they require throughout Emathan.
The majority of the skyship’s crew have been together since its commissioning. They are a very close bunch, including several married couples. Captain Merfiz Wigglewander has been the only captain the skyship has ever had. He speaks of the Stargazer as if it were his child.
The Stargazer’s crew operates in three 8-hour shifts of four sailors plus a helmsperson. There is always one active crew, one standby crew, and one sleeping crew. The active crew is in charge of sailing the skyship. The standby crew is in charge of maintenance and repairs and can be called upon by the active crew for help. The sleeping crew is left alone unless the skyship is at risk.
