As the last session began, it was early afternoon on the 16th day of the 2nd Trigon of Elok’s Influence. The party, along with Maggie, Dragana and Barlor, are all seated in the common room. Dragana has produced a map of the area around the Githyanki stronghold in Easterly and is reviewing the details. The tension in the room between Douglan, Maggie and Barlor is palpable.
Dragana tells the party that she has a Vanguard agent named Addison “Addie” Wildspire, who has been watching the Githyanki stronghold. Dragana has arranged for Addie to meet the party in Tanucca, the nearest village to the stronghold.
With the map and instructions on connecting with Addie, the party departs Bellbroke Keep and heads back to Tionchar Winery. Along the way, Douglan and Maggie discuss her pending marriage to Commander Barlor. Douglan gives Maggie his blessing.
After a short visit with family, the party departs for Easterly in the Stargazer. The crew puts the skyship down just outside the village, and the party heads out to look for Addie. She is waiting at the Dusty Raven Inn as Dragana said she would.
The party departs for the Githyanki stronghold at once, hoping to use the cover of darkness in their favour. Arriving at the entrance to the stronghold at sundown, the party encounters two Githyanki warriors and four Iron Cobra constructs. The Githyanki are dispatched quickly, but the Iron Cobra prove much more difficult as their iron bodies resist many of the party’s attack efforts.
As the last Iron Cobra falls, the party rests before continuing into the stronghold. Inside, the party immediately encounter two more Githyanki warriors. Once they are taken care of, the party begins to search the complex.
In the next chamber, the party find General Varimoc Vith locked in a prison cell. The general tells the party that the Githinthor have been defeated. The few that remain have scattered across the Between.
The general asks that the party search the nearby office and meeting room. The search provides the information that the general was looking for. The Githyanki are beginning to use new portals to move more freely around the Between. This will allow them to move between the portals that access Emathan much more easily. This is not good news as it will allow them to move their armies quickly from one location to another.
