From the Kingdom of Alagon the home of the Penumbra Bards.
Custom linage – Shadow elf .
Level 2 Rogue/Bard 4
Age: 33 Height: 5’6″ Weight: 154lbs
Appearance: Nightingale looks very similar to an elf in his body shape and movements. He keeps his real appearance hidden, a fake nose, face paint or other more elaborate disguises. Nightingale dresses in a jesters style outfit Dark Navy Blue and Royal Purple complete with hidden pockets integrated leather armor and weapons. He wears a mask most of his time as Nightingale, when playing others Bashir could look like anyone.
Notes: Nightingale believes in the gods for they direct the great play that is going on, stage managers if you will, and he is just a player in their game. Born with initiate magic powers Bashir believes were given to him by his Deity, he has managed to stay alive and cause a bit of chaos along the way. Nightingale has always had a way with people, something about being around him makes things possible that shouldn’t be.

Favored weapon: Short sword, Short bow, Daggers and Dart.
Fighting style: Nightingale knows he’s not a power house like Corvus or Douglan, so he uses natural terrain and position to maximize his impact on the battle field. Starting at range if possible using his short bow, Nightingale will close as quickly as the enemy does on Douglan. His short sword backing up the polearm wielding soldier, Nightingale will constantly move around the battle field. He is fearless when it comes to combat, figuring if it is his time might as well take as many with me as I can.
Bashir was Born in Easterly, the city of Rashgar. When he was 5 years old his mother disappeared one day running an errand. He was left alone in the small dwelling for a few days before anyone came to look for his mother. He was kicked out of the home by the landlord ( a member of the Black Fingers Guild ) as soon as rent was due. Bashir was quick to make friends, once on his own he quickly joined a group of fellow orphans and they worked together to keep food in their bellies and a place to call home. There were 7 of them at one point but over the years, that number was reduced to 4. Hardship and death were a common fate in the streets and now a boy of 11 Bashir had organized his band of deviants into a well oiled group of pickpockets and con artists.
You might ask how a smallish weaker child had become leader of a small but faithful group, well Bashir has a way with words, gift of the gab one could say, and that paired with his god given abilities and you have yourself a compelling leader. God given abilities you ask, well from a very young age Bashir had the ability to do things no person should be able to do, it is said he can convince death to leave you be, when your with him you can do things better than you can without him around and he can push his friends to great feats of will, fighting to the last breath. Aka, he’s lucky in a fight. This is helpful when you’re in a place where weakness is a death sentence.
By the age of 15 Bashir and his orphan family ( Camron, Len, Dodger and Brix) had acquired quite a bit of wealth in the standards of street folk, they had a squat that was well furnished with fancy rugs and some furniture, plenty of drink and food was always at hand and the area they worked in was none the wiser to the game. This was of course because Bashir didn’t want to gather too much attention and lose everything AGAIN. It was at this point in his life Bashir’s head grew far too large and he bit off more than he could chew once more. He was working on a con with a wealthy Merchant when he overstepped and was caught by the city authorities, Bashir took the fall as he didn’t want his brothers to be hung alongside him but he was sentenced to 5 years in a work prison (The Dim) at the merchants request” This one doesn’t deserve Death, that would be too easy”. This is where he was recruited by the Black Fingers Guild and entered into his training at the prison.
It was during his time in prison Bashir would get the chance to meet his father, A member of the Black Fingers himself. They called him ”Sharp” around the prison, Kaztan Massaro, he was a higher up in the guild and trained Initiates in the prison. Kaztan had been on the outside when he met Bashirs mother Laura, but his duties for the guild had taken him far away from Rashgar and while he was away she had gone missing. Hearing this he returned to look for her and Bashir but was punished by the guild for disobeying orders, Kaztan was sent to prison for life. There he would train the next generation of Blackfingers until the time of his death. In a prison as rough and harsh as the Dim, this wouldn’t be long. Bashir’s Father and him had a few years together, during Bashir’s many stays in the Dim, during this time his father taught him the finer arts of the con, how to observe and infiltrate, how to fight and when to hide. It was his fathers doing that kept Bashir in prison time and time again, for every time Bashir was about to finish his time, his Father would give him an impossible Con to pull off on the outside to prove he was his son. Kaztan knew it would be impossible but gave his son this task anyway to test him. Bashir spent 10 years on and off again in the prison, the first was a 5 year stay, then a 2 year stay, finally a 3 year visit. It was during his third stay in the Dim, one extremely harsh winter, when food rations were almost nonexistent Kaztan grew very ill and in a matter of weeks was dead. The next years of Bashir’s sentences were rough as his fathers death left Bashir angry and vengeful towards everyone. He would get into fights and grew very distant from anyone who would have called him friend. Leaving that place, Bashir left behind everything he ever knew about his Father. The guild soon snapped him up and his life of serving the Black fingers guild began.
