As the last session began, it was late evening on the 11th day of the 1st Trigon of Elok’s Influence. The last of the day’s sunlight was disappearing on the horizon. The party had just arrived back at Seer Ezra’s home. Nyla had run out to meet you with tears streaming down her cheeks. Seer Ezra jumped from the horse and ran to her mother.
After giving Seer Ezra time to collect herself, the party inquired why she had gone into the swamp to visit the old hag. She told them the old hag’s dead sister’s spirit possessed her. As far as Seer Ezra could tell, the sisters just wanted to be together and used her to do it. It was, unfortunately, something that had happened many times before in young Ezra’s life. Feeling that there was little more to be done with the situation, the party returned to the Stargazer and set sail for the Timeless Temple.
During the night, the party awoke to Seer Yennall calling for Seer Ezra outside their rooms. A quick investigation revealed that Seer Ezra was missing. The party spread out across the ship at once to find her. As Kogaan entered the ship’s hold, he saw two Spectors flying around Seer Ezra. They immediately began to attack him. The rest of the party joined in the fight as they quickly returned from their searches, and the creatures were destroyed. When questioned on why she had gone down into the ship, Seer Ezra explained that the Spectors had called for her, and she had gone to see who it was. Seer Yennall promised to keep a close watch on Seer Ezra going forward.
As morning arrived, a thick fog surrounded the coastline where the search for the Timeless Temple was to begin. Seer Ezra told the crew she could see through the fog, so the search began. Sure enough, Seer Ezra located the temple entrance a short time later; a large pillar of rock rising up from the ocean below.
The party left the ship and climbed onto the rock pillar. There they indeed found the entrance to the temple. As they approached it, a strange, tall elven-like person appeared. General Varimoc identified him as Zorkar, the temple’s guardian. Zorkar welcomed the party and invited them to enter.
After walking down a long stone tunnel, the party entered a vast circular valley. In the middle of this valley on an island surrounded by water was what appeared to be the Timeless Temple.
With Zorkar leading, the party headed across the valley toward the temple. The valley’s floor contained many islands surrounded by ponds and rivers connected by stone bridges. As the party crossed one of the bridges, Zorkar turned back to look at the party. They immediately noticed his once pure white eyes had turned black. As Zorkar stood looking at them, six Hell Hounds appeared. Three at each end of the bridge. The Hell Hounds attacked as Zorkar disappeared. The battle was intense, but with the additional help of General Varimoc, Captain Lakaloc and Maggie McKayne, the group was able to defeat the hounds.
The party cautiously continued on to the temple. Entering through a large archway, the party noticed someone inside one of the small buildings within the large open space inside the temple. The party could only see their feet as if they were hanging from the roof of the building. The party quietly approached the building. There they could see Zorkar floating in the air, a strange black mist swirling around him, a mixed look of surprise and terror on his face.
As today’s session begins, it is mid-morning on the 12th day of the 1st Trigon of Elok’s Influence. The party has quietly gathered around the entrance to a small building, keeping hidden from anyone or anything that might be inside.
