Coldhorn

The city of Coldhorn is home to about 5000 hardy men and women of different races. It acts as the major trade hub between the Wilds and the Protected lands. The air around Coldhorn is humid and muggy.  Many natural hotspring surround the city and some of the houses and buildings have been built over top these hot springs taking advantage of the warmth during the colder months.

Places of Interest:

Wandering Giant Inn – This inn is owned by Gimbrek Mountainfall and has been the largest inn in Coldhorn for as long as any can remember. The Mountainfall family has run the inn since it opened its doors. The inn is well maintained.  It’s pub is a large room with a central bar. It has a dozen tables of various sizes and chairs all along the bar. The pub is very popular with adventure folk who consider it a bit of a meeting place to discuss their latest explorations with other adventure folks.

Armored Duck Tavern – This tavern is owned by Godfrey and Winifred Harcourt and is very popular with the locals. The furniture is all well made including padded chairs.  The staff does their best to keep the place in good order, but it is always a bit wanting for repair.  One of the big attractions of the tavern is Teofric Karles.  A talented bard who entertains the crowd during the evenings.

Fortune’s Fare – This business is one of the largest gem mining operations in The Wilds.  Until recently, it was run by Hulren Bloodbeard.  Due to Hulren’s actions against his half-brother Darrom Moltenmane, he has been removed.  Grollleth Bloodbeard now runs the operation.

Windwalker Travels – Coldhorn has a Airship hub from which the Summer wind flys a route through the wilds.  The Summer Wind is the Sister ship of the Dragonfly.

Wilds Guiding Company – Owned by Qidan Duskwish the building also acts as the Guild Hall for The Wanderers Guild

The Twisting Nether – This magic shop is owned by Margrave Henfrey, and is one of only two magic shops in Coldhorn.

One Coin Two Coin – Biggest Gambling Hall in Coldhorn.

People of Interest:

Hulren Bloodbeard is Darrom Moltenmane’s half-brother and until recently, he ran the Fortune’s Fare in Coldhorn. There is no love between these dwarven brothers.

Beldrack Bloodbeard is the father of Hulren Bloodbeard and Darrom Moltenmane.  Beldrack owns Fortune’s Fare.  He normally resides in Forgehaven, but travels to Coldhorn when necessary.

Grollleth Bloodbeard was put into place to run Fortune’s Fare when Hulren Bloodbeard was removed.  Grolleth is the brother of Beldrack Bloodbeard.

Sargona Oakfury – Messenger from the Fortune’s Fare 

Qidan Duskwish runs the Into the Wilds Adventuring Company and is the guild master of The Wanderer’s Guild in Coldhorn.
