• The Dooms, under the leadership of someone known only as the Prophet and his inner circle, continue to gather followers throughout Emathan with the apparent objective of taking over the world under the guidance of someone they call the “true God.” The Dooms have allied with the Githyanki, who seem to be under the guidance of this same “true God.”

• After a short-lived fight with the party and the Vanguard at Tionchar Winery and the Whitfield farm, the Dooms in the Kingdom of Evendor seem to have gone dark. It is unknown if this is the case or if they are just being more cautious in hiding their activity. The Vanguard continues to guard Tionchar Winery.

• After being kidnapped by King Wilhorn and freed with help from the party, Brell Courtland and Lord Falmorn, King Cordell Evendor has asked the Protected Lands’ ruling council to attend an emergency meeting to discuss a war against the Kingdom of Wilhorn. The King has made it well known that if all the Kingdoms in the Protected Lands do not ally with the Kingdom of Evendor, they will no longer consider themselves part of the Protected Lands. This meeting will occur on the 1st day of the 3rd Trigon of Elok’s Influence.

• While rescuing Obadiah Von Tenebrin from the Dooms, the party encountered a dark elf Doom enforcer who uses the name Onyx and is the leader of a sub-group of the Dooms known as the Darkness. During the party’s interactions with Onyx, it was discovered that Commander Ranier Aldawin of the Vanguard in the Kingdom of Evendor was a Doom spy. The party killed Commander Ranier during a battle with him and Onyx. Onyx has made it clear that he wishes the party members dead. Nightingale and a troop of Penumbra bards are currently in Thasan in Easterly, where Onyx and the Darkness are believed to be. The Penumbra are playing a “cat and mouse” game with Onyx to learn more about the Dooms and the inner circle as it appears that Onyx takes his direction from them. Nightingale has pledged to keep the party updated on anything learned that will be of value to them.

• During the time leading up to the party’s visit to the Sea of Sand while trying to rescue Whalespell Wren, various party members began to have nightmares about demonic creatures coming through rifts from a world they came to learn was Arcmyth. As the party neared the Sea of Sand, they all fell into the same dream where they had to fight demons from this world as they came out of the rift. The demons were very powerful and quickly defeated the party. The dreams the party members had were slightly different, and it seemed to indicate that two other rifts connected to Arcmyth would open into Emathan. The party has no idea where the other two rifts are located. From the dreams, they know that one is in a frozen, rocky area, and the other is in a grassy area near the ocean. The dreams have stopped since the party visited the rift location in the Sea of Sand.

• While in the Sea of Sand, the party received a Devil Star diamond from the family of two young Tiefling sisters they had helped. These diamonds are said to have been created during the magical blast that closed the rift to Arcmyth during the last Gathering. These diamonds captured small amounts of the magic used to close the rift. A type of magic that is not known or understood. Obadiah and Landis are working on understanding how the magic works so that it might be used to close the rifts to Arcmyth during the next Gathering. Landis is back in the Sea of Sand to acquire more diamonds.

• At the request of Obadiah, the party travelled to Lyelion to meet with a Dragonborn wizard named Fariedah. Fariedah asked for help finding a magic staff called Countersign that could open a powerful portal hidden deep below Lyelion. A portal built over a millennia ago by wizards known as the Order of the Gate. Fariedah believed that the portal could get them to a place called the Sil. The place where the lifeforce of dragonkind resided while waiting for their chance to return to Emathan. For some reason, the lifeforce of dragonkind were not returning in the numbers they had in the past, and dragonkind were dying out. The party was successful in finding Countersign, and along with Fariedah, entered the Sil. While there, the party learned that a powerful being called Ordite had cast something upon Aak, the Sil’s guardian, that was trying to possess the guardian. After consulting with the mighty dragon, Hahnuziaak, the party learned how to remove the curse from Aak. Upon returning to the portal, Ordite took control, appearing to the party inside the portal and warning the party that it would rid Emathan of the Three and become its new god. The party successfully removed the thing that was trying to possess Aak allowing the life force of dragonkind to freely return to Emathan once again.

• As the party returned from the Sil to Lyelion, they learned that Dooms attacked the village, and using a powerful explosion, they sealed the tunnels that led down to the Order of the Gate’s portal. The extent of damage to the tunnels is not known. The status of the Dooms that entered the tunnels is not known. After the attack, Fariedah decided it would be best if she and Countersign hid at Windrest to help ensure that Countersign did not fall into the wrong hands. Very few people know that they are there.

• After freeing Aak, the Sil’s guardian declared the Kogaan had proven himself in his Yah Do Balaan and would become the Dovahkirr Dienmaar of Hahnuziaak as he was reborn into the world. Hahnuziaak would live a single year as a wyrmling dragon, during which time Kogaan would be his protector. After the year, Hahnuziaak would return to its ancient dragon form.

• After the long fight from their homeland in the Frozen Lands, through the Barrens and into the Sea of Sand, the Iceborn Orcs have taken over a section of the desert where the large crystal structure protrudes from the sand. This structure, known to the local Tiefling population as the Scar, is believed to be where the rift to Arcmyth opened during the last Gathering. The Iceborn Orcs have now turned the fight on Easterly. Their objective is unknown, but many believe they are focused on entering the Step and the Protected Lands.

• After a meeting with High Commander Dragana Skyshield of the Vanguard, the party has learned that the Vanguard numbers are dropping, and they are struggling to keep up with the Doom activity throughout Emathan. Dragana asked the party to assist in battling the Dooms, and they agreed becoming honorary members of the Vanguard. During their first mission to destroy the Gith portal in Easterly, the party found and rescued General Varimoc Vyth of the Githinthor. The general told the party of his plan to unite the remaining members of the other defeated Gith clans against the Githyanki. He asked the party to help him return to the Between using a portal near the Shattered Lands. The party agreed to help. Once back in the Between, it was discovered that a Gith clan known as the Githnoro had returned after nearly two hundred years of absence. The general and the Githnoro will work together to unite the Gith and defeat the Githyanki. The general has pledged that, on the 28th day of the 3rd Trigon of Elok’s Influence, he will open the portal at Vas’a’dos into Tionchar Winery to meet with the Vanguard to discuss a strategy to defeat the Githyanki. He has asked the party to ensure the Vanguard leaders are present for the meeting.

• While the party was in the city of Evendor to meet with High Commander Dragana Skyshield, Commander Barlor Norwood of the Vanguard asked Douglan for permission to marry his daughter, Maggie McKayne. After discussing the proposal with Maggie, Douglan gave his blessing for the marriage. A date for the wedding is not known.

• The Githyanki have defeated all the other Gith clans and have set up base at the portal strongholds in what they consider the four key areas for an invasion into Emathan. These include Vas’a’dos (Protected Lands / Tionchar Winery), Kop’a’dax (Wilds), Vor’I’lun (Easterly) and Qam’a’dath (Black Mire). New portals are being constructed in these locations that not only access Emathan, but also interconnect to one another. This will allow the Githyanki to move quickly from one location to another. The new portals in Vor’I’lun and Qam’a’dath are already functional. The other two are under construction and will be ready soon. It is known that two members of the Dooms now reside in Qam’a’dath as the Doom’s representatives. They are an elven woman who calls herself Midnight Jackal and a human woman named Lacie Whitfield.
