<p>The Sea of Sand is a massive desert in the south eastern region of Emathan. The few communities that exist are primarily sparsely distributed along the coast. The Sea of Sand is the homeland of Emathan's Tieflings.</p><p>The Sea of Sand wasn't always a desert. It was formerly known as Plentiful. During the last Gathering, however, Demons poured into Plentiful. The people of Plentiful fought back with powerful magic, destroying the Rift. However, this resulted in a calamitous explosion of sapping energies and the region became a wasteland. The original people of Plentiful left; their former lives and land in ruins.</p><p>The Tieflings, who were fleeing the Demons that were trying to pass through the Rift, decided to stay and make this desert their new home. For life in the Sea of Sand is a far cry greater than that as a slave to Demon overlords.</p>
