As the last session began, the party and crew were all standing at the edges of the skyship looking out at the vastly changed landscape around them. There was no sign of the shimmering wall they had passed through. They could see that they were still traveling in the same area of The Wilds, but how much time had passed since they entered the void.

Captain Darrius ordered the ship to land so that it could be checked for damage and the dead crew could be buried. While on the ground, the party surveyed the area around the ship. Lafferty made an estimation that nearly an entire trigon had gone by while the ship was in the void. An estimation that was later confirmed by Windwalker Travels in Coldhorn as being 36 days the skyship had been missing. After checking over the ship and burying the dead, the Dragonfly took to the air once again to complete the trip to Coldhorn.

During the night, each of the party members had a strange dream. A dream that took them back into the void where they came face-to-face with someone from their life. In each dream, the person was angry with the party member for something they had done or not done. The dreams left the party members unsure if what they were seeing was real or just a dream. The next morning, the party learned that many others, but not everyone, had similar dreams.

A little after noon, the Dragonfly arrived in Coldhorn. To help apologize for the delay, Captain Darrius returned each guest's fare and arranged for room and board at The Wandering Giant for them. Darrom asked if his business could be attended to right away, so after dropping their things off at the inn, they headed to the Fortune's Fare to meet with Hulren Bloodbeard who was Darrom's half brother.

Darrom's transaction with Hulren and the Fortune's Fare went very well. Darrom was able to pay off his outstanding debt and arrange new gems for sale in The Protected Lands. With business completed, the party headed back to the inn. Darrom was very pleased with the impression his new entourage had made helping to make for a smooth transaction with Hulren. He asked the party if they could accompany him back to the Dragonfly in the morning for his return trip to Vargas. The party agreed.

Once back at the inn, Lafferty decided to visit a local magic shop and the rest of the party came along. The Twisting Nether, as it was called, was run by Margrave Henfrey. Lafferty inquired about books or information that the shop might have to assist in his constant research. Margrave did not have anything on hand but told the party that he could acquire many types of magic items given the right amount of time and gold. He promised Lafferty that he would see what he could get for him on short notice. They agreed to meet again at noon the next day.

Back at the inn once again, the party prepared to join Darrom and Diza for drinks and supper. While in his room, Nightingale was once again contacted by Lord Baskle through magic means. It was clear Lord Baskle was frustrated with the fact that Nightingale was still alive. As the party met in the inn's pub, Nightingale informed Douglan of Lord Baskle's message.

During supper, a message scroll was delivered to Nightingale. A situation that started to feel very much like the night at the Storm's End Inn. Sure enough, it was a message from Crimson Shiver, but this message was different. Instead of another threat, this message explained that there was a complication that had arisen that meant that Crimson Shiver could not complete Lord Baskle's contract. A request was made to meet at The Armoured Duck to discuss.

At the Armoured Duck, Crimson Shiver presented Nightingale with an Amulet of Protection Against Detection and Location then joined him at his table. The visitor was not what Nightingale had expected. An attractive, young lady explained that Crimson Shiver was not a person but in fact an assassin's guild. The Crimson Shiver guild worked under the direction of the Penumbra College's inner circle. Nightingale and Crimson Shiver worked for the same organization. The young lady assured Nightingale that they would cut their ties with Lord Baskle and that no other Crimson Shiver would bother him. The young lady excused herself and departed the tavern as Nightingale sat silently contemplating the information he had just been given.
